Welcome to The Calm Photography Movement which has been founded to help men express their emotions and provoke conversation through the medium of photography. At the same time we are raising awareness and funds for CALM, an award winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.
We are asking professional and amateur photographers to submit photographs for an exhibition that will be taking place from Wednesday 10th May – Friday 19th May 2017 at the prestigious Getty Images Gallery in Central London. Amateur entries will be judged by an esteemed panel for inclusion alongside the professional submissions which will be curated for display at the gallery. Additionally a selection of images will be chosen for inclusion into a book which will be on sale at the exhibition with all proceeds going to support CALM.
The brief is simple. We are looking for images which express your feelings on what it is to be a modern man in today’s fast changing world, which shine a light on the limitations of traditional masculinity and empower us to think differently about the individual inside.
